Steady Weekend for the Eden Volunteers

Saturday & Sunday brought 10 calls for service for Eden members. Crews responded to four vehicle accidents, two automatic fire alarms, one reported building fire and 3 medical locals.

Early Saturday morning Station 24 and several mutual aid units responded to various locations on Rt 222 and Rt 30 for a reported vehicle accident with roll-over. While enroute units were finally directed to the 2800 Block of Butter Rd. Truck 24 and EMS arrived to find a single vehicle roll-over from Rt 222 down an embankment onto Butter Rd. Truck 24 assisted EMS prior to clearing.

Saturday evening Truck 24 responded to assist Station 211 on a reported building fire at the Eat N Park. Truck 24 was second arriving and laddered the building as well as assisted with tracing the source of interior smoke. Crews found a smoldering mulch fire against the building can on side charlie. The area was extinguished and units cleared.

Later in the evening Truck 24 and Truck 67 met at a local eatery to enjoy a long past-due dinner. Good food and a good time was had by all. Just watch out for the dinner geese!

Business Taken Care Of

Early Sunday morning Station 24, Rescue 211 and EMS were sent to the 1400 Block of New Holland Pk for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment. The single occupant had self-extricated and left the scene prior to our arrival. QRS 24 was later sent to the occupants residence for treatment and transport by the medic unit. **See Additional Article**
