Members of the Eden Fire Company will join thousands of participants across the world as we take part in Saint Baldricks for the very first time. Read Below for more information on the foundation, its purpose, local event information and a link to donate and make a difference.

"St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family."

"Since the first event in 2000, St. Baldrick's volunteers have raised over $34 million for life-saving research and 2008 promises even more exciting progress. Every child, teen, and family deserves our very best effort to cure childhood cancer, and that's just what they'll get from the St. Baldrick's community!"

Lancaster will be hosting a Saint Baldricks event for the first time ever. There are currently 450+ events throughout the United States and the world. On March 22nd, 2008 Annie Baileys Irish Pub, in downtown lancaster, will host the event. Registration begins at 12pm and shaving will commence at 1pm.

Please follow this link to donate in the fight against Childhood Cancer and show support for the Eden Volunteers who will have their heads shaved.
