Truck 24 - The Truck Company

Driver's Side View

At structure fires, a Truck Company performs one or more of the following fireground functions: placing ladders to reach upper floors and/or the roof; overhauling the fire area to make sure the fire is extinguished; removing smoke and heat inside the structure; making entry into the structure (forcing open locked doors as needed); searching for trapped occupants; protecting of the building's contents; controlling the utilities; and providing an elevated, high-flow master stream.

Driver's Side - Open

Most of the equipment used for Truck Company functions is located on the driver's side of Truck 24. Compartments are reviewed from left to right. For some compartments, only a partial listing of equipment is provided.
