RIT Training with Lancaster City Fire

In late November into December, Eden and Lancaster City Fire held several joint acquired structure RIT(Rapid Intervention Team) trainings. The sessions included equipment, unit and RIT ops/procedure familiarization from both departments.


The Lancaster Country Club donated a farm house to utilize for acquired structure training. During the training sessions, crews covered RIT team considerations and size-up and several case-study drills. These drills included the Denver Drill and Nance/Columbus Drill, as well as other firefighter removal techniques.




Eden also trained numerous times with other departments during the use of the house. They included Southern Manheim Township(211), Lafayette(63) and Rohrerstown(67).





The Eden Fire Company would like to thank the Lancaster Country Club for the use of the structure and their continued support of the department.
