Morning Entrapment in Upper Leacock

Around 0730 Hours this morning, Station 311 and EMS were sent to the intersection of Quarry Rd and Forest Hill Rd for a vehicle accident. LCWC(911) recieved additional calls stating there was entrapment.


The upgraded assignment brought Truck 24 to assist on the incident. 311 Chief Officers arrived onscene with a two vehicle accident confirming two occupants trapped. Engine 311-2 and EMS arrived and began stabilization and patient care.


The truck company arrived just behind Engine 311-2 and assisted with the extrication. The crew performed a side removal on the drivers side and assisted with removing the occupants.


The first occupant was extricated within nine minutes from arrival. The extrication of the driver was completed five minutes later. Both occupants were transported to a local trauma center for evaluation.
