On Septemeber 22nd, Former Live-in and active duty member Steve Hammond shifted gears. He left his career as a Firefighter for Anne Arundel County(MD) to defend our country.

Steve in his "early days" at Eden

While Steve was living at Eden he always had two dreams. One to be a career firefighter, which he obtained during his time at Eden. The second would come a few years later when he entered the US Marines boot camp at the Parris Island Recruit Depot.

Steve is currently still in recruit training for the Marines. Shortly into training, he was assigned as a Squad Leader. Since then he has been promoted to Guide, which leads an entire platoon of about 70 recruits. So far, Steve is loving every minute of his training...for the most part anyways. The brothers at Eden wish Recruit Hammond much luck in his new career as a United States Marine. Everyone here appreciates your committment you made to protect our nation. Stay safe brother.
