One Overturned & Well Involved

Early Tuesday morning MTFR units were dispatched to the 700 Block of Valley Road for a vehicle accident involving fire. LCWC reported a one vehicle roll-over, into a utility pole, on fire and wires down.

Chief officers from Station 27 arrived onscene and confirmed the above. Police department reported that the single occupant self-extricated and had fled. Truck 24 was first arriving, followed shortly by Rescue 211(S. Manheim Twp) and Engine 272.

Units staged out


Post-extinguishment


There were several downed power lines around and ontop of the car. PPL made the decision to shut down the areas power grid upon their arrival. This allowed for safe extinguishment of the vehicle.

Truck 24 operated onscene for about 40 minutes prior to being released.
