Early Saturday morning, around 0230 hours, Truck 24 was alerted to the 700 block of Hartman Station Road for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment. County advised responding units of a single vehicle roll-over with a subject trapped under the vehicle. Chief 410 arrived on location confirming one trapped.

Crews work to remove the roof

Truck 24, with four personnel, arrived and went to work assisting Company 410 with stabilization and patient access. Once the vehicle was stabilized the Hurst Cutters were placed into service to perform a roof removal.

Crews begin extrication

Due to the patients position, crews could not remove the entire roof. Utilizing an electric saw-z-all, half the roof was removed. Crews were then able to place a long spine board in place and remove the patient.

Truck 24 was on scene for an hour before returning to service. While returning the truck was directed to Route 222 Southbound in the area of 30 East for a reported tractor trailer accident. Crews found nothing and returned to station around 0400 hours.
