On Wednesday afternoon, Station 24, Engine 410-1(Witmer) and EMS were sent to the 500Blk of Millcross Rd for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Truck 24 was first arriving with a pick-up truck into a tree with two occupants trapped.

Truck 24's crew stabilized the vehicle and began the extrication. The passenger was pinned beneath the dashboard and the driver was unable to free himself from the vehicle as well. The truck crew utilized several hydraulic rescue tools to perform a modified dash-lift to free the occupants. Both occupants were extricated and in the care of EMS in less than 20 minutes from dispatch.

Units from 4-10(Witmer) and Station 6-3(Lafayette) assisted with the incident. Rescue 4-8 was dispatched as the 2nd rescue, but was returned a short time later.
