This evening around 1800hrs units from MTFR and surrounding companies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Oregon Road for a reported Barn fire. Truck 24 with a crew of seven responded in just under a minute. County Communications advised that the caller states the barn is on fire with livestock and people still inside. Squad 242 arrived on scene with normal condtions. Upon further investigation with a Thermal Imaging Camera, crews located a fire in the hay loft that was tunneling through the older hay.
Personnel from Tanker 27 and Truck 24 assisted the farmer with removal of the burning hay. Units cleared in just under an hour.
