Three Members Complete NFPA Rescue Tech Certification

On Saturday April 19th, Three members from Eden completed their certification testing for Pro-Board NFPA 1006 Rescue Tech. Firefighter Kurt Gehman, Sergeant Mark Shenk and Sergeant Matt Adams completed a 12 week prep course hosted by Millersville Fire Company. The class was followed by various written tests as well as an involved practical testing session.

The class was composed of members from around the county including, Millersville(6-5), East Petersburg(2-3), Highville(6-2), Columbia(8-4) and a member of Harrisburg City Fire. Upon completion, all students tested out for Pro-board Rescue Technician(Core) as well as Vehicle & Machinery Technician. With this training in-hand these members will be able to obtain further pro-board rescue certifications in various disciplines. Congratulations to all.
