Truck 24 Handles Trauma w/ Fly-out

While Truck 24 was cleaning up from the vehicle extrication demo, the crew spotted commotion on a nearby sports field. The truck was quickly summoned for help. The crew encountered an injured youth with traumatic injuries.

Skycare landing


Truck 24 immediately notified county and had them dispatch ALS ground units from LEMSA. The Skycare flight crew was still on the ground and came over to assist. Eden firefighters and skycare's crew immobilized and packaged the patient utilizing equipment from the truck company. After evaluation Skycare made the determination that they would fly the patient prior to the arrival of EMS ground units. The patient was loaded and flown to Hershey Medical Trauma Center.
