Fire claimed the lives of two adults and one child on Furnace Hills Pike in Warwick Township early Christmas morning. Investigators believe the fire started in wiring on or near the family Christmas Tree. During the investigation, firefighters also found a smoke detector with no battery.

While our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the victims, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure you and your loved ones have working smoke detectors. Batteries in the smoke detectors need to be replaced once a year. The ENTIRE smoke detector needs to be replaced every 10 years because the sensors wear out over time.
