One Entrapped On Manheim Pike

Truck 24 was dispatch along with Rescue 211, Engine 64-1, Truck 64-2, LEMSA (EMS), and Manheim Township Ambulance Assc (EMS) to Manheim Pike in the area of Manheim Avenue for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment.



Rescue 211 arrived on scene first and confirmed one patient entrapped in the vehicle against a utility pole. Rescue 211 stabilized the vehicle, initiated patient care, and began to extricate the patient. Engine 64-1 and Truck 64-2 arrived shortly after and assisted.



Upon Truck 24's arrival, crews assisted in the removal of the passenger side front door, sliding door, and the post in between. The patient was removed without difficulty and cared for by EMS. The extrication took approximately 20 minutes from the time of the first arriving unit.
