Yesterday at 17:55 Truck 2-4 was dispatched to assist Station 313(West Earl)on a vehicle accident with entrapment. Units responded to Route 222 right before the Brownstown exit to find vehicle on its side with one occupant still in the vehicle.
Truck Crew works to remove the rear hatch and posts
Engine 313-1 arrived onscene confirming one person trapped. The engine company stabilized the vehicle and set-up to begin rescue efforts. Truck 24 arrived and both companies worked to remove the roof and gain access to the patient. Both the 2-4 and 3-13 crews then assisted EMS with patient packaging and extrication.
Crews cleared the scene in less than 45 minutes. The crash remains under investigation.
