Recently, Neffsville Fire Co. was dispatched for a Class 2 vehicle accident on Delp Rd at Lausch Lane. Truck 24 was in the area and arrived onscene within 3 minutes of the dispatch.

Crews work to free the driver

The truck arrived to find one vehicle into a pine tree with the driver pinned. The call was upgraded to entrapment and the crew began the extrication. Engine 27-1 arrived and assisted on operations.

Crews performed a side removal to gain access to the patient. The occupant was pinned by the drivers door and a Hurst spreader was used to roll the door off the patient. Last, several seats were cut out to create a pathway to remove the patient. The extrication was completed in 19 minutes.
