This summer, the Eden Volunteers had the opportunity to train on a farm house slated for demolition. Manheim Township Fire Rescue acquired use of the house from the Township and had several weeks to perform various training sessions.
The acquired structure was utilized several different times for a variety of hands-on training sessions. Topics included forcible entry, hose-line advancement, ground ladders, horizontal and vertical ventilation, VES(vent enter search) techniques, rapid intervention as well as emergency rope and ladder bailouts.
