At approximately 11:00 hours on Sunday, Truck 24 was alerted along with Engine 64-3, Truck 63, and LEMSA to the bank of the Conestoga River in the area of Pleasure Rd for a subject injured after a fall.

Lyfe Rescue Pulley used as an elevated change-of-direction.

Captain 24 arrived first and established command reporting one person down an eight foot wall with the need for a stokes basket to remove him.

Engine 64-3 and Truck 24 arrived shortly thereafter and it was decided that the best way to remove the patient was to use rope, rigging, and Truck 24's aerial device to attach a pulley to over the edge of the wall.

Crews immediately began working to set up the rope rescue system, at which time Truck 63 arrived to assist. The patient was lifted up onto the top of the wall and care was transferred to the waiting LEMSA unit for care. All told the rescue took approximately 35 minutes from arrival of the first units to leaving the scene.

Great job to all involved!
