Response Area

Our company has assigned first due response areas in Manheim and East Lampeter Townships. In these areas, the Eden Fire Company is officially designated by the municipality as the Primary or Home company, meaning we are the first company dispatched to incidents in these areas and are allowed to conduct direct mail fund raising to the area's residences and businesses.

This first due area includes approximately 5,400 addresses, with 750 in East Lampeter Township and 4,650 in Manheim Township. These addresses consist of 1,300 apartment units, 3,900 dwellings and 200 businesses.

In addition to our assigned first due area, we also respond to other areas of the County to assist other fire companies as part of a County-wide mutual aid system. For current response statictics, see our Newsroom section.

In addition to our primary response area, we assist other companies in 10 municipalities. This overall response area contains many special hazards, including:

• 18+ Apartment Complexes
